3 Parks on Blackcomb / 2 Parks on Whistler

Did you know that Whistler Blackcomb Terrain Parks are visible from space via Google Earth? There are 3 parks on Blackcomb and 2 parks on Whistler which total over 99 acres!

The parks include:

  • over 200 features with 90 rails
  • over 100 jumps
  • 22 foot Superpipe
  • 14 foot Superpipe

There are eight dedicated park grooming snowcats. Over 24,000 hours are spent each season maintaining and upgrading the parks. As you can see Whistler Blackcomb puts an enormous amount effort into making their terrain parks top notch. There is something for everyone, allowing riders of the highest level to train and push their aerial skills to the next level. As well beginners to intermediate levels to learn, practice and perfect their skills.

Here’s an overview on each of the parks:

Highest Level (XL)

As the title suggests this is the most advanced park of the five. Featuring massive 40 to 80-foot jumps, spines, rails and jibs designed with the expert rider in mind. Only advanced park riders should consider this park, and helmets are mandatory.

Nintendo Terrain Park (M, L)

This park runs 3,480 feet in length and features intermediate and advanced tables, hips, spines, step-up jumps, rails and boxes. It’s great for riders looking for a variety of features and can be a stepping stone to the highest level park. 

Location – The Park is located on Choker run on Blackcomb, just down from Rendezvous Lodge. You can ride the Catskinner Chair for continues laps.

Nintendo Habitat Terrain Park (S, M, L)

Also referred to as the Whistler Park, there is a beginner to intermediate section and an intermediate to advanced section. Three separate runs make up the park, all with different levels of jumps, boxes and jibs.

Big Easy Terrain Garden (S)

This park features smaller rails, boxes, rollers and jumps. Built with beginners in mind and is a great place to start your skill set.

The School Yard (XS)

The name says it all as this is the easiest park of them all. A Family Certified zone in the Learning Area on Whistler Mountain. It is a great place for kids to ski and ride and learn the skills necessary for terrain park riding.

Super-Pipe

A 22-foot Olympic-sized halfpipe, in the 2011 winter season Whistler Blackcomb purchased a Global Pipe Cutter to specially groom this baby.

Mini-Pipe

A 14-foot mini pipe, allowing skier and riders to learn halfpipe skills and confidence before venturing into the Superpipe.

Snow Cross Track

Incorporating banked turns, jumps, whoops and rollers, this permanent course it a great course for experts and those wanting to try their hand at this Olympic sport.
