Celebrate Mountain Biking in Whistler
The 10-day Mountain Bike Festival, Crankworx Whistler, returns this July 24 – August 2, 2026.
Born in Whistler, B.C. in 2004, Crankworx has evolved into a multi-stop international festival series, bringing together the best mountain bike athletes to compete in elite-level competitions in a variety of disciplines, as well as hosting races for amateurs, Kidsworx contests for young riders, participatory events, and celebrations of mountain bike culture, all while showcasing amazing destinations.
And while the festival has gone international, each year the global mountain bike community comes home to Crankworx Whistler for the ultimate celebration of all things mountain bike. The original. The biggest. The best. The defining celebration of mountain biking.

Every day of the festival is jam-packed with action, from events and races to parties and entertainment, making Whistler a hub of activity during Crankworx. Take a look at some of the more spectator-friendly events below.
Whistler Crankworx Expo & Demos
Check out The Expo at Crankworx to get a peek at the newest products and services from industry leaders. Get an inside perspective through interactive displays and tents around Whistler Village. If you’re looking for all the latest information on the mountain biking industry, you’ve got to visit the Expo!
You can also demo lots of products at the Demo Zone in Lot 2 and test out prototype bikes on real terrain in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
Kidsworx Event Series
Kidsworx is a series of events specifically designed for the young ones. All levels of riders are provided for with mini-challenges, races, pump tracks, scavenger hunts, skills sessions, and more available throughout the week.
Dirt Diaries
The Dirt Diaries is a film contest that tasks riders with assembling a team and putting together a five-minute video. These selected teams will then screen their respective films in front of a massive audience at the Whistler Olympic Plaza.
The videos set out to capture the essence of mountain biking and are always fun to watch with everyone for the first time!
Deep Summer Photo Challenge
This fan-favourite event is all about capturing the best mountain biking culture in the Sea to Sky Corridor. The Deep Summer Photo Challenge pits six elite mountain bike photographers against each other to see who can put together the most epic slideshow during the festival. The final slideshows will be shown under the stars at the Olympic Plaza.
Official Whip-Off World Championships
Nothing says style and skill like the Whip Off World Championships. Riders battle it out to see who will bring home the title of whip-off king and the admiration of the crowd.
