Dining at Whistler Blackcomb 2020/21

We all know that when skiing or snowboarding it’s easy to work up an appetite. What you may not know is, in accordance with local health guidelines, things may be a little different when dining at Whistler Blackcomb during the 20/21 season. 

What you need to know

Thankfully Whistler Blackcomb has been able to open most of it’s dining locations. Some changes you should be prepared for are;

  • Masks are mandatory – at all times when on Whistler Blackcomb property with the exception of actually eating and drinking.
  • You will need a reservation – if you are planning to dine in at any of the restaurants (see details below).
  • Drink choices are reduced – coffee bars in the lodges are closed but drip coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available, and the alcohol options are limited to packaged beer and wine with the exception of limited full service options in Christine’s and Steeps. 
  • Fresh Tracks are not available – unfortunately there are no fresh tracks offerings this season. 

Dining in requires reservations 

If you are planning to sit inside and eat you will need to make a reservation. Reservations are made through the EpicMix App or online through Tock and can be arranged day of starting at 7 am. It is recommended that you plan in advance to reserve your desired eating time but there is an ASAP option when searching for availability on Tock. Choose from daylodge offerings at Roundhouse, Rendezvous and Glacier Creek or enjoy the fine dining service at Christine’s or Steeps.

When you enter the lodges you will be greeted by hosts who will verify your booking and show you to your table. Different from the years past – there is no self serve dining, please remain at your seat and order off the limited menus presented to you. Reservations are limited to 45 minute time periods with a 10 minute grace period if you are running late. 

Reservations not only apply to guests who are purchasing food from one of the restaurants, but also those who have brought their own food and wish to eat it sitting in the lodge. 

You do not require a reservation to use the washrooms. There are different lines to access these parts of the lodges with additional washroom facilities at the Roundhouse, mid-station on Whistler and Rendezvous on Blackcomb.

While you may be used to hitting up Whistler Blackcomb’s three valley bars for apres ski, this season they have been converted into full service restaurant style atmospheres offering packaged alcohol sales and menu options.

  • Dusty’s Bar and BBQ

Grab & Go options without reservations

If you forgot or are unable to make a reservation, have no fear – you will not go hungry. The mountain huts and grills have ready-to-go options but note that there is no indoor seating and minimal outdoor seating. Your choices include hot and cold items that can be eaten on the go, like sandwiches, soups and granola bars.

While water bottle filling stations will be available, there are no refillable cups so plan to bring a water bottle. You will find some pre filled water cups to grab and go in some of the lobbies.
