1. Dusty's Bar & Grill

2. Longhorn Saloon & Grill
If you are looking for some live-action viewing content while enjoying a beer, look no further than the Longhorn Saloon & Grill. This iconic bar has been the place to be for apres ski since opening in 1981, with a view of Whistler Mountain like no other, you can watch mountain bikers and skiers descend to the base any time of year thanks to the warm outdoor fire pit. Hosting live DJs during aprés and live bands in the evening, come in and try Longhorn’s Legendary Nachos, any of the Legendary Dinners, or check out the Legendary Locals Night every Sunday after 6 pm.
3. Garibaldi Lift Company (aka The GLC)
Located on the base of Whistler Mounain the Garibaldi Lift Company has been offering up mountainside foods and drinks since 1995! One of Whistler's original patios, the GLC has undergone extensive renovations in the past year's making it one of the most modern and comfortable spots to overlook the village. Enjoy daily drink specials and choose from a wide array of finger foods and bar menu staples. There isn't a better place in town to catch the many Whistler events happening in Skiers Plaza. No matter if your bunkering down for Crankworx, the World Ski and Snowboard Festival or the Fire & Ice show, the GLC provides front row seats for all of Whistler's premier activities!
4. Merlin's Pub
In a separate part of town, located in the upper Village facing Backcomb Mountain, is Merlin’s Pub where Whistler’s laid-back vibe permeates. 5. Dubh Linn Gate
Another bar that is steps away from the base of Whistler is the classic Irish pub, Dubh Linn Gate. Having opened in 1997, this bar combines classic Irish cuisine with the classic Whistler mountain views and vibe. Having an expansive patio area, this pub typically draws a raucous crow during both summer and winter, with live music, an outdoor fire pit and some of the best happy hour prices three times a day, Dubh Linn Gate is not a place you should overlook. The Breakfast happy hour is from 9-11am with Mimosas, Caesars and speciality coffees for $6, After Apres happy hour runs from 5-7pm and features BC craft beer pints, highballs and 6oz glasses of house wine for $5, with these same drinks being on special for the Late Night happy hour from 11pm-1am.
If you aren’t interested in the bar or pub scene but still want to enjoy a delicious lunch in the fresh air, check out a locally preferred cafe, Portobello. Located at the base of Blackcomb, in the lower lobby of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler resort & hotel, Portobello’s boasts an elevated casual dining experience and the best made-to-order sandwiches in town. With a focus on local craft beers, speciality coffees, delicious fresh baked pastries and sweets, this little cafe offers many varied taste sensations. A daily apres ski runs from 4-5pm, but you can also stop into Portobello after the Whistler Farmer’s Market which runs every Wednesday and Sunday during July and August.
7. The Firerock Lounge
Another hidden gem located within the Westin Resort & Spa is the FireRock Lounge. Named after the beautiful stone fireplace that is accentuated within the lounge, the FireRock creates an intimate atmosphere with interesting artistic aesthetics including using river rocks, log ends and hickory sticks to decorate this charming restaurant. In this upscale spot, the large outdoor patio immerses you into the magnificent scenery that surrounds the hotel and offers unobstructed views of Spout and Rainbow mountains, combining creative cuisine and drinks with picturesque panoramic views of the mountain valley and surrounds you.
