What Is Cornucopia Whistler?
Cornucopia Whistler is Canada’s premier mountain food and wine festival, held every November in Whistler, British Columbia. It started as a modest wine tasting in 1996. Three decades later, it fills conference halls, restaurants, hotel ballrooms and back bars across the resort with producers, chefs and thousands of people who come here specifically to eat and drink well.
You get access to winemakers you would normally only read about on the back label. You taste beside them. You ask the questions you’ve been saving up.
What separates this Whistler food and drink festival from a big-city equivalent is the setting. Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains carry early snow dustings. The village is quiet before ski season, and you can walk almost everywhere!
Nobody’s checking a watch, because there is no traffic to beat.
The festival splits into four categories every year:
Signature Events. The grand tastings, galas, parties and comedy nights the festival is famous for.
Food and Drink Seminars. Small-group sessions led by working experts. Recent editions have run more than 40 of them over the event.
Culinary Stage Series. Live cooking demonstrations you eat your way through.
Restaurant and Bar Events. Winemaker dinners and one-off menus hosted by Whistler’s own kitchens.
Most large events run at the Whistler Conference Centre in the heart of the village. The restaurant events are scattered across the resort.

Daily Drink Seminars
You can find an array of daily Drink Seminars offered throughout Cornucopia!
Each seminar usually features a different wine region, past years have included titles such as “Inside Scoop: Australian and South African Wine Revolutions” or “BC Varietal Showdown”.
The seminars can feature a theme such as the “Lords of the Dirt: The Quebec Revolution” or “Cocktails & Canapes”. With no shortage of options to choose from, guests can find an event that sparks their interests or something they know little about.

Crush Grand Tasting
The renowned flagship event of Cornucopia: Crush offers guests the opportunity to sip, savour and sample their way through the night, exploring new wine regions and creating new favourites along the way.
Take this chance to find a new hidden gem, or ten! Meet the faces behind BC wineries and beyond, and mingle in the relaxed atmosphere of the Whistler Conference Centre foyer!
House Party: Best of BC
Enjoy an evening getting to know the best of food, wines and spirits from our home province of British Columbia. The Sea to Sky region takes a starring role in this event, featuring several breweries, wineries, distilleries and restaurants from the local region.
