Q: What is Lodging Ovations?
A: Lodging Ovations is a property management company that represents three condo-style hotels located in Whistler, BC: Legends, Evolution and First Tracks Lodge
Q: What is a property management company?
A: A property management company acts on behalf of the owners of the units in each hotel. They are responsible for the maintenance of the properties as well as selling the units to hotel guests.
Q: Is Lodging Ovations a time share company?
A: No, each unit is individually owned and Lodging Ovations operates the same way that a branded hotel does.
Q: Why should someone book their vacation through Lodging Ovations?
A: Lodging Ovations is a one stop shop for all of your Whistler vacation needs, from accommodations and shuttles to activities, everything is available to you.
Q: Where are the Lodging Ovations properties located?
A: Legends, Evolution and First Tracks Lodge are located in Whistler Creekside.
Q: How far is it from Whistler Creekside to Whistler Village?
A: Whistler Village is 5KM/3M North of Whistler Creekside, which between a 10-15 minute bus ride.
Q: Why stay in Whistler Creekside?
A: Whistler Creekside is a quiet alternative to Whistler Village, it features all of the necessities including; restaurants, a grocery store, a liquor store and so much more. The Whistler Creekside gondola is also accessible from Creekside Village steps from Lodging Ovations' properties.
Q: How do I get from Whistler Creekside to Whistler Village?
A: Guests can choose to use Whistler's public bus system, The Wave. The cost is $2.50 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk or on the bus. The wave runs 22 hours a day only breaking between 3 AM and 5 AM, It can be caught at the stop located outside of Legends. Guests can also choose to take a taxi, this costs approximately $12 and can accommodate up to 6 people.
Q: Can I book with Legends, Evolution and First Tracks Lodge directly?
A: Yes, each property has their own website, you link to them by clicking the property names at the top of this page. You can also book each property directly on this website.
Q: Do you have daily housekeeping?
A: Yes, we provide daily removal of trash and changing of towels, if necessary. Sheets are cleaned every 3rd day.
Q: Is parking available on-site?
A: Yes, each property has their own underground parking garage. Parking is $17 + tax per vehicle per night.
Q: What are the height restrictions for your parking garages?
A: Legends: 2.2 meters/7'6 feet, First Tracks Lodge: 2.3 meters/7'8 feet, Evolution: 2.2 meters/7'6 feet
Q: Do you provide coffee?
A: Each suite has their own coffee maker and Lodging Ovations provides 1 package of coffee upon guest’s arrival. The coffee makers use baskets, there is no need to use coffee filters. The front desk has coffee available for $3.50 + tax per package.
Q: Does Lodging Ovations have a minimum age requirement?
A: Yes, the lead guest must be at least 25 years of age. Upon check in the lead guest will be asked to provide identification to ensure that they meet the age requirement. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, and the party will not be permitted to check-in and/or the party will be required to vacate the property.
Q. If I am not travelling can I pay for another guest's reservation? (friend, family, co-worker)
A. No, we do not accept 3rd party bookings. The credit card holder must be present at the time of check in.
Q: What is Lodging Ovations cancellation policy?
A: A non-refundable deposit of one night's room plus tax is due at the time of booking. Cancellation outside 45 days (Winter*) 14 days (Summer**) prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit amount. Full payment is due 45 days (Winter*) 14 days (Summer**) prior to the arrival date. Once full payment has been taken, no refund will be given if all or any part of a reservation is cancelled.
*Winter: November 20th to April 19th
**Summer: April 20th to November 19th
Q: What is the standard minimum length of stay requirement at Lodging Ovations properties?
A: Typically there is a 2 night minimum on Friday night and a 3 night minimum on Saturday night. Holiday periods and event days can have up to a 7 night minimum length of stay requirement applied.
Q: Does the Creekside Gondola run year round?
A: No, it is closed in the spring and fall. It opens on Whistler Blackcomb's opening day of the winter season, usually mid-November. Then closes around mid-April, then re-opens for the bike park around mid-June and closes again mid-September for the fall. (exact dates are subject to change, so it’s best to check with reservations for confirmation).
Q: Do you have a restaurant onsite?
A: Yes, Dusty’s Bar & BBQ is located in Legends (access from outside) and operates for lunch and dinner during the winter, spring and summer and it closes in the fall. Breakfast is available during the winter months (from mountain opening until the Creekside Gondola closes) from 7am – 11am.
Q: Do Lodging Ovations properties have electric vehicle charging stations?
A: Evolution and First Tracks Lodge have electric vehicle charging stations in their underground parking garages. Legends does not have a charging station.
Q: Is smoking permitted?
A: No, smoking is not allowed inside any units. Fines for smoking indoors will vary depending on damages involved. Smoking is not allowed on the balconies; a $200 fine is applicable for violation per the By-Law.
