Whistler Arts: Culture Paths & Art on the Lake
While Whistler may be best known for its incredible outdoor activities, it also has a bustling arts and culture scene that has been embraced by both locals and visitors. There’s always something happening during the week from ongoing exhibitions and tours to workshops and classes. This summer is the perfect time to dive into the wonderful world of Whistler arts and culture!
Art on the Lake
Come out and learn a new technique or artform at Art on the Lake. This unique series of workshops are instructed by professional artists at the tranquil Alta Lake Station House. Immerse yourself into creativity with scenic views of Alta Lake which make for the perfect artist getaway.
Workshops are welcome to everyone, experienced and beginning artists will both find merit in the variety of course topics, including: experimenting with acrylics, still life painting, macramé, urban landscapes, oil painting, abstraction, and more. Walk and Talk Series
Soak up some knowledge at the Audain Art Museum with their Walk and Talk Series!
Take a guided tour around the museum and for an introduction to the treasures that are housed within. The one hour Walk and Talk tour is offered at different times on days throughout the week but guests are encouraged to explore the galleries before or afterwards. Writers' Adventure Camp
Looking to hone your craft of the written word? From June 6-10, 2018, The Writers' Adventure Camp is held in Whistler at The Point artist centre. Located on the beautiful Alta Lake, the camp hosts interactive workshops with lead by award-winning professionals. This immersive experience for emerging writers can help your creative output with exposure to other genres and narrative arts.
