Celebrate the Holidays with Fun Family Events in Whistler
Snow is falling, the Village is twinkling with lights, and Christmas is just around the corner in Whistler!
Whistler is a wonderful place to spend the holidays with the whole family. Ski and snowboard on Whistler Blackcomb every day or enjoy some of the many festive events and activities happening during the holiday season.
There are lots of fun things happening during December that all ages can enjoy. Celebrate the season with weekly favourites like Family Après and the Fire & Ice Show or visit the indoor playground extravaganza known as the Whistler Holiday Experience.
Family Après
Everybody loves après, and now the whole family can enjoy it! Celebrate a great day on the mountain with Family Après at the Whistler Olympic Plaza. Kids can participate in a variety of different outdoor winter activities while parents share stories around a firepit with a warm beverage.
You can check out Family Après on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 - 6 pm at the Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Fire & Ice Show
Come out and experience an epic performance from world-class athletes, fire-spinners, and DJs at the legendary Fire & Ice Show. The whole family will love watching talented skiers and snowboarders flip through rings of fire as liver DJs play music.
The event is then capped off with a dazzling fireworks show and an after party for adults at the Garibaldi Lift Co. You can experience the Fire & Ice Show at 6:30 pm on Sundays in Skier’s Plaza.
Whistler Holiday Experience
The ultimate indoor playground is back for another year of festive fun. Kids can enjoy a range of fun indoor activities and entertainment including a mini putt course, board games, crafts, bouncy castles, and video games. Parents can enjoy a hot chocolate or coffee and relax in the lounge as the children play.
You can join in the fun for free over the holiday break from December 22nd to January 6th at the Whistler Conference Centre. The Whistler Holiday Experience is open from 10 am to 6 pm, but it’s closed on December 25th and will open at 12 pm on January 1st.
Whistler Gingerbread House
Visit Whistler’s Gingerbread House for a fun family outing in the heart of Creekside Village. You can enjoy tasty holiday treats such as legendary Cloud Cones, gelato, gourmet hot chocolates, signature espresso drinks, cotton candy, and other yummy baked goods.
Get some holiday gift wrapping done and be wowed by the giant Christmas Train and holiday decorations. Rumour has it that you can even get a special appearance by Santa on the right days.
