Things To Be Excited For In Whistler This Fall
There’s always so much going on in Whistler that it can be hard to keep track of what’s happening all the time. Fall in Whistler is packed full of events, new and returning, so there’s sure to be something for you and your family to enjoy.
Most people might think Whistler quiets down while waiting for the snow to come but it’s actually the opposite. Whistler locals and visitors use the autumn months to indulge in delicious food and Whistler’s rich arts and culture scene.
Whistler is home to tons of events such as Cornucopia and Whistler’s Writers festival that draw large crowds each year. However, there are lots of other exciting things happening in Whistler this fall that can go under the radar. Check out a few events coming up in Whistler that we’re excited for.
Whistler Food Tours
Are you looking to try out all the amazing food and drinks Whistler has to offer? Well, it’s the perfect time to go on The Essential Whistler Tasting & Cultural Tour. This delicious walk, guided by an award winning chef, will take you around Whistler’s upper and lower village to learn about Whistler’s food, history, and culture. This is a great way to get introduced to Whistler, you’ll be feeling like a local at the end of the 3 hour tour. Tours run Tuesday to Sunday at 10:30 am. Sea to Sky All British Rally
If you’re in Whistler this Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, you should come check out the Sea to Sky All British Rally. Participants in the rally come up from North Vancouver for the day to enjoy one last cruise on the Sea to Sky Highway. Once in Whistler, drivers will be displaying their vehicles in the Olympic Plaza for visitors to view.
You’ll most likely get the best chance of viewing the cars between noon and 3pm as drivers make their way up from North Vancouver around 10am and then leave Whistler at 3:30pm. Come on out and marvel at some beautiful British cars before they get put away for the winter months.
Fall For Arts
Whistler’s 3 month celebration of arts and culture makes its 2nd appearance this year. This isn’t really one event, it’s dozens. September marks the start of Whistler’s many cultural events happening in the Fall season. Whistler Village Beer Festival, BC Culture Days, GranFondo, and so much more. Magnetic – Whistler Blackcomb's 1st Ski/Snowboard Movie
Coming sometime this Fall 2017 is Whistler Blackcomb’s very first full length ski and snowboard movie. Magnetic focuses on the power of attraction, and anybody who’s rode Whistler can attest to it’s pull. Whistler Blackcomb has this effect of drawing in skiers and boarders back into the mountains to experience the thrill again. Filmed entirely on Whistler Blackcomb, Magnetic features athletes with connections to Whistler, including; Stan Rey, Justin Lamoureux, Jesse Millen, James Heim, Craig McMorris, Logan Pehota, and more.
