GO Fest - The Great Outdoors Festival

The Great Outdoors Festival on May long weekend truly embraces everything that Whistler is about and what the local community lives for. Sporting events, music, arts, culture and friendly competition. 

Whistler Mountain

The sporting events taking place include, mountain biking, running, walking, rafting, DiscGolf, sailing, skiing/snowboarding touring and downhill, canoeing, kayaking and last but not least yoga! These are activities that you can do on a daily basis in Whistler and is what draws in a people from all over the world. The Festival is also bringing back The Great Snow-Earth-Water-Race an event from Whistler's past.

The Art and Culture scene is also a big part of makes Whistler so special, with many talented artistic people both living and visiting Whistler. The environment here not only allows people to be creative but also to showcase their work to an audience that has high appreciation for what they do. The Adventure Film Series part of GoFest combines the great outdoors and creativity. A selection of 20 of the world’s best independent outdoor adventure films from 5 countries will be showing.

There will also be live music from Canadian bands playing on the main stage in the Village Square throughout the festival.

Go Fest is a celebration of the outdoors and here in Whistler we are very fortunate for our surroundings and the activities that come with it. It deserves a celebration.
