Check out all the amazing ways to get involved in this year's festival.

If You Are an Artist…

State of the ART is a 10-day art show that runs throughout the festival. It provides artists from around the world who are inspired by a mountain lifestyle, a place to showcase their art. No tickets are required to view the show which takes place at the Whistler Conference Centre. A Call for submissions is now on. Artists wishing to participate in this year's event can find more info at the State of the Art web page.

If You Are an Athlete…

Amateur athletes may not be able to participate in the AFP World Championships that take place from April 12 - 16. However interested athletes can still register for The Shred Show, Slopestyle and Big Air competitions presented by Monster Energy. The contests will be held at the Blackcomb Terrain Park April 18 - 21. Interested athletes can check out The Shred Show webpage for more information.

If You Are a Photographer…

The OLYMPUS Pro Photographer Showdown attracts some of the top action sports photographers in the world. If You Are a Filmmaker…

The OLYMPUS 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown is arguably the most popular event at WSSF year after year. The contest is open to everyone and requires filmmakers to shoot, edit and produce a three to five-minute movie within a 100KM radius of Whistler over the course of 72 hours. This event is held on April 16 and 17 and is screened in front of a 1,500 person audience. Once again $10,000 is on the line for the winner of the event. For more information on how to take part in this event visit The OLYMPUS 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown webpage.

If You Like Fashion…

The Fashion Exposed event is back for its eighth year on the catwalk. For the first time in the event's history, it will be held for FREE on the Main Stage at Skier's Plaza. The event will take place April 20 from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Fashion Exposed will be holding casting calls for male and female models who wish to participate in the event.

If You Like Behind The Scenes…

Not everyone wants to be in the spotlight during the 2013 WSSF. Some people relish the opportunity to work behind the scenes of an event this size. This year's WSSF will require up to 400 volunteers to put on one of the largest sports and music festivals in North America. Volunteering opportunities exist in all aspects of the WSSF, from the on-mountain sport events, to the art events in the Whistler Conference Centre, to the Outdoor Concert Series at the Main Stage in Skiers Plaza. Those interested in working behind the scenes at the WSSF, make sure to visit the volunteering webpage.
