Cross Country Skiing CoupleDue to the massive snow dump in Whistler over the past week all three Nordic venues have opened for the season. This includes the Lost Lake Trails and both of the Callaghan Valley Nordic facilities.

All three of these sites offers amazing cross country skiing and snowshoeing. If you're interested in doing some cross country skiing or snowshoeing on your trip to Whistler read up on these three wonderful venues.

Whistler Olympic Park

Located in the Callaghan Valley the Whistler Olympic Park was the host for many of the events at the 2010 Olympic Games including cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined and biathlon.

This world class facility is a great place to take the whole clan out for a day of Nordic themed adventure. With over 52KM of cross country skiing trails to explore this is a great place to learn how to cross country ski or master your skills.

Callaghan Country

The Callaghan Valley Lodge is another Nordic facility located in the pristine Callaghan Valley. Not to be confused with Olympic Park facility this amazing venue is set in the Whistler backcountry miles away from civilization.

Perfect for the outdoorsmen this amazing facility feature a lodge, cross country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing and back country skiing.

Open Friday through Tuesday this venue is for the person looking to escape it all and spend some quality time in the wilderness.

It is important to note that both the Callaghan Valley Venues are located about 20 minutes outside of the Whistler Village. Both facilities can be reached by car and offer onsite parking.

Lost Lake Park

Located just minutes away from Whistler Village the Lost Lake Park is all about convenience. If you're looking to roll out of bed and hit the trails there's no faster route then Lost Lake.

The Lost Lake facility offers 32KM of freshly groomed cross country trails and snowshoeing in their park area.

Ideal for the person learning how to cross country ski the facility offers a number of lesson packages for every level of skier.
