Peak2Peak brings Whistler & Blackcomb Together
The 11-minute, 4.4 kilometre crossing on the Peak2Peak Gondola is impressive. Bringing Whistler and Blackcomb mountains closer together, the new gondola is the longest continuous lift system on the globe. During peak hours, the gondola, with its 28-person cabins, can move 4,000 people an hour. The $50-million engineering miracle, with its enormous 436 metre suspended span, opened in 2008.
